Our Story

Hinterland Bees are proud Sunshine Coast beekeepers, and is owned and operated by Scott Whitaker and Allyson Reynolds since 2010. We acquired our first hive way back in 1996 and now manage more than 150 hives in various fixed-location apiaries across the biodiverse rainforests and orchards of Maleny and the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, Queensland, Australia.

We use small-scale, eco-conscious production without additives and free of chemicals or heat treatment so that our honey retains all the beneficial properties of pure natural raw honey.

Our operation also includes some one-on-one training of local backyard beekeepers,  swarm and live beehive removals as well as managing hives for several clients across the Sunshine Coast.
